Managerial Experience.
We have been in business since 1987 and many of our managers have previously worked directly for medical firms like yours furthering our understanding of your needs.
|
|
| |
| |
Our size has many advantages.
We currently handle over 3000 deliveries per day. This allows us to economically retain a pool of back up drivers and (cross-train) for those days when drivers are out or the
weather is bad giving us a certain "depth" that smaller competitors will not have. Yet, we are small enoughh to customize service to your needs.

Driver Training/Background Checks:
|
| |
Our drivers are employees and NOT independent contractors (ICs).
They receive regular training (upon hire and annually) on proper handling of temperature-controlled items, biohazard control, pharmaceuticals/controlled substances and
patient confidentiality. We create "Smart Books" (which include proper handling of daily and not-so common situations) and very explicit route sheets for our drivers and
dispatchers. Our driver training meets all standards established by OSHA and DOT. Drivers are required to pass a written test after completion of the training.
|
|
| |
| |
HIPAA/Patient Confidentiality -
Medical Logistic Solutions is committed to assuring both the confidentiality of your company and your patients. Each employee is trained in HIPAA compliance and
patient confidentiality at time of hire and annually.
|
|
| |
| |
Drug Policy and Background Checks.
Federal Background Checks are completed on all employees, which lists all convictions from Federal, State, and local jurisdictions. It is the most complete check available.
We also require a Drug/Alcohol Test immediately following a vehicular accident, and/or any type of injury incident or reasonable suspicion on the part of management or
customers.
|
|
| |
| |
Dress code policy.
All drivers wear and maintain their company uniforms while on duty. The issued uniform is expected to be clean, neat and present a professional image. The uniform includes
a company shirt, photo ID badge and coat. Our company baseball caps are the only caps allowed.
|
|
| |
| |
Lab Specimen Handling:
|
| |
Temperature Control -
Drivers are equipped with coolers, ice packs and dry ice in which to store your items during transport.
|
|
| |
| |
Pharmacy Med Handling:
|
| |
Chain of Custody-Pickups.
Before leaving the medical facility, the driver will inventory all controlled substances with the inventory list and sign for both controlled substances and regular meds. At the
nursing home the driver will watch as the nurse inventories and signs for them. We will comply with the chain of custody procedures as outlined by DEA and client requirements.

Operations:
|
| |
24/7 Dispatch and Delivery.
All services are available 24 hours per day/7 days a week through the use of one dispatch phone number -1(800) 888-Rush. For immediate response, our drivers are equipped
with the latest in cell phone technology, which includes voice mail. Generally, we complete all STAT calls within 2 hours of call.
|
|
| |
| |
Emergency Procedures.
Per our Employee Handbook, "Drivers should expect to have deliveries and pick ups in bad weather. As a medical driver, all deliveries still need to be made in order not to
jeopardize patient health. If roads are closed by Department of Transportation, then we make every opportunity to find an alternate route ini order to complete our
deliveries. If your deliveries are not completed prior to road closure, your first priority is to complete the delivery immediately after roads opened."
|
|
| |
| |
Formal tracking of customer concerns.
When a concern is received, the dispatcher will fill out our Customer Concern form. A manager of Medical Logistics Solutions will investigate the concern and timely and
professionally reply to the launcher of the concern. After the investigation is complete, the manager will formally respond to the person that launched the concern and other
key members of customer staff with the resolution within 24 hours.
